IAPMR Kerala: Website and Ongoing Care

A professional association’s website for events, journals, downloads and notices, built and looked after by Nexstarc.

We built the website of the Kerala Chapter of the Indian Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (IAPMR), a registered scientific body of physiatrists in Kerala, with WordPress and Elementor. We have worked with the chapter for about three years. Each year we maintain the site, manage its content and carry out the updates and changes the chapter requests.

The requirement

A medical association chapter needs one place to share its events, journals, notices and reference downloads with its members and the wider rehabilitation community, and to keep them current through the year.

Our role

We built the website with WordPress and Elementor and continue to look after it. That covers yearly maintenance, content management, updates and the changes the chapter asks for.

The ongoing delivery

A working relationship of about three years in which the site is kept up to date as the chapter’s activities change: new content, new requests and regular upkeep handled by one team.

Journals presented with care

The KJPMR page introduces the Kerala Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as the chapter’s official journal, with sections for the current issue, vision, mission, history, editorial team and previous issues. The site also links to the chapter’s other journals.

Author guidelines and the current issue can be downloaded from the same page.

Events and academic programs

Members can find the chapter’s monthly online academic program, upcoming and past events and its annual conference from the Events menu.

Notices, such as the one about academic grants shown across the top of the homepage, are collected in their own Notifications section.

Guidelines and resources to download

The Downloads menu groups e-books, guidelines, other downloads and the RPWD Act 2016. The Guidelines page lists each document as a card with a clear download link, such as disability assessment guidelines and a PMR logbook for undergraduates.

Content like this is kept up to date as part of the content management we handle for the chapter.

Contact and chapter information

Every page ends with the chapter’s useful links and contact details, including its address at the Department of PMR, Government Medical College, Trivandrum, and its social links. A short description explains who the chapter is and what it does.

Ongoing care

Each year we look after the website’s maintenance, keep its content current and carry out the updates and changes the chapter requests. Because we built the site, we know how it is put together.

This case study covers the website’s public pages. The pages and everything on them belong to the Kerala Chapter of IAPMR.

A long-term working relationship

We have worked with the Kerala Chapter of IAPMR for about three years, starting with the build of its website.

The chapter publishes new content through the year, from events and notices to journal issues and downloads, so the website is a working tool that changes regularly rather than a finished brochure.

Building and looking after a site like this is part of our WordPress services, including maintenance and support.
